nukie404  I wonder though, is it not possible for irradiated food to change in their protein structure, possibly somehow affect us? Some suggest Regardless I guess since it as irradiate with gamma radiation, there's no chance of the radiation staying in the food. In that sense I guess the answer makes sense but... +  






microwaves are low energy EM waves they heat the food but does not cause radioactivity which is caused by HIGH EM waves as gamma nd x rays they removes the electron nd produces ions that can cause cancer



microwave is microwave , its high energy short length signal which put water molecule in food (Plastic porcelain, glass do not contain water , that's why they don't become hot) in high frequency movement , they bump each other creating heat, which warming food inside out (opposite of infrared waves in oven ). after you turn off microwave oven food is safe(but don't eat too hot )
