TTP has a classic pentad: microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, thrombotic purpura, fever, renal failure, neurologic abnormalities (AMS). Whenever you see a question where the patient suddenly has a lot going on, consider TTP.

aejinkim  @mgemge: the patient's BP is still up there, and for me, she doesn't have a crazy fever that i associated with when i think of TSS +1
cheesetouch  also TSS they would have to give you tampon use or nasal packing left in for a day. And it wouldn't cause schistocytes. +1
