Maybe it's easier to remember that the periosteum is the implicated tissue in most bone cancers:

Raised periosteum (creating a "Codman triangle") - aggressive bone lesion (such as osteosarcoma, Ewing sarcoma, osteomyelitis)

"Onion skin" periosteal reaction - Ewing sarcoma (malignant small blue cell tumor)

Should also remember that osteoBlasts Build Bone after differentiating from mesenchymal stem cells in the periosteum.
